SINGOV, is the default homepage for the Singapore Government Online. All gov.sg sites are to link back to SINGOV. Its intuitive url www.gov.sg is short and easy to remember.

Portal for Government Information:
SINGOV is the "Government" component of the Singapore Government Online. It serves as a convenient launch pad for users to locate information on the Singapore Government - such as government news and policies, leadership and bureacracy, official statistics put out by the government, as well as details and contact information of public service agencies. SINGOV not only acts as a gateway, it also highlights important information.

Singapore Government Crisis Gateway:
Since 1 September 2004, SINGOV is also the gateway for the public to locate crisis and emergency-related information provided by the government, both during peacetime and actual crisis.

Design Philosophy
SINGOV has been designed in a simple and clean manner to help you find the information you need quickly and easily. The homepage presents as much relevant information as possible without overwhelming the visitor with links.

Statistics
Per month, the site receives more than 102,000 unique visitors while its homepage alone saw more than 358,000 pageviews. About 40% of visitors are from outside of Singapore.

The Singapore Government website first came online in 1995. It adopted the brand name "SINGOV" in 2001. SINGOV was most recently repositioned as part of the Singapore Government Online for better integration with the other major government gateways such as eCitizen and Business Town. The official launch of the repositioned SINGOV is 28 October 2004.

Administration
SINGOV is administered by the National Marketing Department, Public Communications Division, MICA (Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts).
